Ailsa Rayner is a lived experience researcher, author, and peer workforce leader committed to transforming mental health systems through rights-based, consumer-led approaches. She is a co-author of Shining a Light and the training for the With You legal education project, amongst other pieces and currently serves on the Lived Experience Leadership and Transformation (LELT) team. Ailsa has held advisory roles in formulating and writing international United Nations submissions and advice, Transforming Communities for Inclusion, COAG, Queensland Government and national projects including the Peer Navigators Project and the evaluation of Victoria’s MHLRS and IMHA services, etc. Her work spans jurisdictional priority setting, workforce reform, and policy guidance on trust, value, and inclusion. Ailsa’s current focus is on building mechanisms for accountability, access, and action—ensuring lived experience leadership is not only represented but resourced and respected.
